My Name Is Corpse is the first movement of an unfinished collection of etudes for solo performer and looping software (Ableton LIVE, in this case). In these pieces, the first paragraph of a novel is read into a looper, and then chopped up and intermingled with an array of small, amplified, highly processed instruments. My Name Is Corpse is based on the first paragraph of the novel My Name Is Red, by Orhan Pamuk. There is no score, as it was written for the composer to perform.
